Two Teams became Winners in the Preliminary Round of the Mission CHANDRA Science Competition

Congratulations GCETIANS !!!!!!! We are pleased to inform you that Mission Chandra, which is being organized by O/o Controller of Communication Accounts, Gujarat Circle in collaboration with Space Application Centre ISRO, Gujarat Council on Science and Technology, and Science City has received more than 80 nominations from teams of Engineering Colleges across Gujarat which competed with a Digital 3D model. The evaluation of the preliminary round was done on 19th August 2023 at Auditorium 1 Science City. Out of 80 teams, two exceptional teams of the Mechatronics Department (including two students from Computer Science and Engineering (IoT) of the esteemed G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology, (A Constituent College of CVM University), Vallabh Vidyanagar, demonstrated exceptional performance, securing spots in the final round. Both teams were felicitated in a function on 22nd August 2023. Team 1, led by Soham Misty, and including Devavrat Upadhayay, Urmil Prajapati, and Dhruv Vachanni, focused on the rover aspect. Name of Mentor: Dr. Vinod Patel Team 2, led by Mohammed Campwala and comprising Shyam Patel, Pratham Mittal, and Harshil Panchal, took on the challenge of designing a launcher.
