Government of Gujarat has taken an initiative to increase the number of start-up and escalate the employability. As part of that SSIP 1.0 has ben introduced in 2017 and it is upgraded as SSIP 2.0 in 2022.

As per this scheme seed funding, incubation centre facilities as well as mentorship support is to be provided at university level/institute level for Proof of Concept (PoC) or early stage start up as well as for IDP. G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology is a grantee of SSIP 2.0 since August 2023, SSIP cell at the GCET is keen to provide a platform and financial support to the students who want to embark their journey as an entrepreneur. The selected students (Pass through the scrutiny process) are eligible to receive the grant for their PoC (Start-up). The first step is to fill the registration form provided below, we will arrange the selection (Scrutiny) Process every 15 days, where we call the students for the presentation of 15 minutes. In the scrutiny process, evaluator panel is formed consisting industrial as well as institute mentor, based on their recommendation further process would be driven.

Students of any branch/level can participate individually or in a group.
