Hinay Shah won "ISA PMCD JERE HANEY HONOR SCHOLORSHIP" Award. 23 June 2020 Department of Computer Engineering Hinay Shah student of Department of Computer Engineering won ISA PMCD JERE HANEY HONOR SCHOLORSHIP Award for the year 2020-21 and won prize money of 2000US$.
Gaurav Puraskar 03 March 2020 Department of Civil Engineering Dr. Snehal Popli has received “Gaurav Puraskar” on the Vidyanagar day celebration and CVM Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on 03/03/2020 organized by CVM. The puraskar was given for the granting of Indian Patent titled “A process for reductive degradation of pollutants using electrochemically pre-activated noble metal particles in the absence of reducing agent” on September 23, 2019 for 20 years.

CHIRAG KANAGIYANI FILED A PATENT 19 February 2020 Department of Mechanical Engineering Final Year Mechanical Engineering Student Mr. Chirag Kanagiyani has filed a patent on "HYBRID LATHE - A MULTIPURPOSE MACHINE TOOL". Idea: A five-axis multipurpose machine tool named as Hybrid Lathe. More specifically, the invention facilitates machining of both plan surface and the surface of revolution, also it provides every essential motion of the tool and/or workpiece which could be required to perform any primary operations of a lathe, milling, grinding, drilling, and boring based processes.

Second prize at Tata Crucible Business Quiz (Regional) competition. 13 February 2020 Department of Mechanical Engineering Tanmay Mehta from third-year Mechanical Engineering & Jaynil Pandya from second-year Electronics & Communication Engineering won second prize at Tata Crucible Business Quiz (Regional) competition held at IRMA, Anand. They won a cash prize of Rs. 35,000 for this victory.

CII The India We Want Debate Competition 2019 16 December 2019 Department of Civil Engineering Dhvani Jani and Saumya Patel students of 3rd-year civil engineering (2017-21) batch participated as a team in "The India We Want Debate Competition" organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). They had successfully cleared the first round of the competition and qualified for the semi-finals on 16 December 2019 at Vivanta by Taj, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.
NPTEL Online Certification 17 November 2019 Department of Civil Engineering Prof. Krunali Patel secured 63% of the score in the NPTEL Online Certification Exam of the "Wastewater Treatment and Recycling" course during July-October 2019 and she has also received the FDP certificate for the same.

The patent has been assigned the Patent No. 321099. The title of the patent is “A Process for Reductive degradation of Pollutants using Electrochemically Pre-activated noble metal particles in the absence of Reducing agent”. The patent has been granted through e-filing portal.

This venture is planned to distillate water using Solar Energy.
