At the outset I extend my hearty welcome to all the visitors of our informative website. I feel extremely happy and privileged to be a part of this magnificent educational institution and gratefully acknowledge the service of my dedicated fellow teachers and staff, ever- supporting management, and student fraternity.

To impart technical education with value added development for the youth of Gujarat and beyond, Charutar Vidya Mandal established GCET as one of the first self-financed institutes in in the year 1996. Originally affiliated to Sardar Patel University and later to Gujarat Technological University, today GCET is one of the constituent colleges of Charutar Vidya Mandal University, from the academic year 2020-2021. Started with a modest beginning with two undergraduate programmes of chemical engineering and information technology, today GCET offers ten undergraduate and seven post graduate programs. We are the pioneer in India to start undergraduate BE program in information technology (IT) and mechatronics engineering (MC).

27 years is not a very long span in the life of any academic institution, although GCET has achieved several milestones during this journey. GCET is fortunate to have a team of academically enlightened and dedicated members of faculty, trained in premier universities and institutions in the country, who are at the forefront of their professional activities. Today with our faculty members, infrastructure, students' quality, teaching- learning, placement, industry interface and on several other parameters, GCET has become one of the preferred destinations for undergraduate engineering studies in the state of Gujarat.

GCET always remains at forefront in minimizing the gap between industry and academia looking at the need of "Industry Ready" manpower by the companies. Our curriculum and practices are consistently reviewed to ensure that we follow the most updated best practices at par with the premier institutes and addressing the future needs of our students.We aim to empower our students in such a manner that they act as representatives of a meaningful and value-based society. Our pedagogy which is holistic and comprehensive complements this. We have a team of fabulous faculty members who display boundless energies and intense commitment.

I am convinced that each of you graduating from GCET will leave your indelible mark of success in whichever sphere of life you choose to be and I fervently hope that your desire to do well for the benefit of humanity only increases with your successes in life.I welcome you all to this great institution of higher learning and assure you of a nurturing and caring environment that will see all of you blossom into empowered and sensitive human beings.
