A proud moment for the department that, final year student Mr. Mitesh Maru has successfully granted a patent for his design of 'Water Faucet' by The patent office of Government of India; under the guidance of Prof. Jvalant Trivedi, Prof. Sankalp Kulkarni and Prof. Aakarsh Jain. And for his design he has received a certificate of registration of design and has been granted a design number for his design. We wish him the best for his success. |
GCET lifted Championship Trophy in CVMU Youth Festival - Yugantar

Yugantar, the first Youth Festival of CVM University was held from 12th to 14th October, 2022. Team GCET participated in all the 24 AIU and 5 Non AIU events. GCET stood first in Classical Vocal (Solo), Classical Instrumental – Percussion (Solo), Classical Instrumental – Non Percussion (Solo) , Light Vocal (Solo), Western Vocal (Solo), Western Instrumental (Solo), Folk Orchestra, Skit and Folk Dance competitions. Secured second position in Indian Group Song, Western Group Song, Mimicry, Poster Making, Collage Making and Rangoli events. GCET was awarded third position in Debate and Elocution competitions. Winning first prize in 9 events, second in 6 events and third in 2 events, by scoring total 77 points GCET lifted the prestigious overall championship trophy. Moreover GCET was declared as Champions in the Music and Dance categories as well. In addition to this GCET also won most of the Non AIU events. The team secured first position in Antakshari and Scene-e-Magic, Second position in Dumb Charades and Third in Treasure Hunt competitions. The hard work and channelized efforts made this possible. The team of 36 students was working with enthusiasm for last 1.5 months after the college hours. The student leaders were Nayan Kadchha, Aayush Lad, Deep Karia, Jeel Shah, Jhanvi Thakkar and Vidhi Parekh. They took lot of responsibilities for building up a good team. Alumni of the institute Jil Patel, Jenil Bhatt, Shubham Gor were a great support to the cultural team of GCET. The team was mentored by the Cultural Coordinator of the College Dr. Yogesh A. Chauhan and supported by Prof. Sneh Vyas. The successful execution would not have been possible without the continuous support and motivation from the Principal and CVM authorities. |

GCET lifted First Runners up Trophy in VVNagar Zone Youth Festival - Xitij-2022

15 Students of final year, 2 Mentors and 5 seniors with the support of Principal Sir created history by emerging as First Runners Up with a huge score of 66 points in the VVNagar Zonal– Xitij 2022 GTU Youth Festival, held at SVIT, Vasad during 15th to 16th September, 2022. Team GCET also lifted the Championship trophy of Theatre Category by winning first position in One Act Play and Skit events. GCET participated in 20 AIU & 2 Non AIU events and won positions in 15 AIU & both Non AIU events. GCET was awarded first position in 7 events, second position in 8 events and third position in 2 events. Due to the students' perseverance, passion, dedication, and focus throughout the marathon practice sessions and performances, a significant victory was made possible with such a tiny team. Congratulations to the entire team for this great achievement. The entire team is now qualified to represent GCET at the Inter Zonal Youth Festival of GTU to be held at SAL Institute of Technology in the month of October, 2022. |
