Four Teams from GCET (Mechatronics Department) have qualified for the Round 2(Proof of Concept) of Robofest 3.0 competition held by GUJCOST, Gandhinagar. 15 April 2023 Department of Mechatronics Engineering Proud moment for GCET,(Mechatronics Department) Four Teams from GCET (Mechatronics Department) have qualified for the Round 2(Proof of Concept) of Robofest 3.0 competition held by GUJCOST, Gandhinagar. From which GCET is shortlisted in four categories, 1) Rover Robot 2) Submarine and Underwater Robot. 3) Hexapod Robot 4) Two Wheeled Self Balancing Robot Each of team will receive a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- from GUJCOST -DST. Total price money for four team Rs. 2,00,000/- It's wonderful to hear that four teams from GCET have qualified for Round 2 (Proof of Concept) of the Robofest 3.0 Competition organized by GUJCOST in Gandhinagar. This is indeed a remarkable accomplishment for your institution. Participating in robotics competitions like Robofest demonstrates the dedication, skills, and hard work of the teams involved. It's an opportunity for students to showcase their innovative ideas and problem-solving abilities in the field of robotics.
Siddh Pandya, Kushal Shah secured third position in the CVM University project exhibition. 30 March 2023 Department of Information Technology They secured third position in the CVM University project exhibition organized by Student Startup Innovation Policy (SSIP) cell, GCET and Entrepreneurship Startup Incubation and Innovation (ESII) Cell, CVMU in March 2023.
Het Patel, Pratham Shah, Armin Vaghasiya, Ayushi Patel, Kandarp Shah, Kirtan Prajapati, Vivek Chauhan) won the first prize worth Rs. 50K in Hackathon organized under SSIP. 22 March 2023 Department of Information Technology Student team of third year IT and CP (Het Patel – Team Leader, Pratham Shah, Armin Vaghasiya, Ayushi Patel, Kandarp Shah, Kirtan Prajapati, Vivek Chauhan) won the first prize worth Rs. 50K in Hackathon organized under SSIP for the project titled “Online Canteen Order System” in March 2023. The project was guided by Dr. Miral Patel.
Winner of CVM University Hackathon 2023 18 March 2023 Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering Team of four third year students namely, Gadhavi Kushal 12002060501016,,Pavan Jethwa 12002060501021,Prakash Vala 12002060501022 & Tanish Shah 12002060501028 under the guidance of Dr Samir Trapasiya secured the third prize in CVM University Hackathon 2023.

Certificate of Appreciation 12 January 2023 Department of Civil Engineering Dr. Khadeeja Priyan, Professor & Head of Civil Engineering department received Certificate of Appreciation for her significant contribution in being part of the project assigned by Ministry of Railways for "Redevelopment of Anand Railway Station, Gujarat" and for submitting the Conceptual Plan to the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
Pruthvi Patel received award Rising Star in Engineering of the year 2022-23 with scholarship of $200. 16 November 2022 Department of Information Technology She received award titled “Rising Star in Engineering of the year 2022-23” with scholarship of $200 by, Exxat Inc in November 2022.
GCET lifted Championship Trophy in CVMU Youth Festival - Yugantar 14 October 2022 Yugantar, the first Youth Festival of CVM University was held from 12th to 14th October, 2022. Team GCET participated in all the 24 AIU and 5 Non AIU events. GCET stood first in Classical Vocal (Solo), Classical Instrumental – Percussion (Solo), Classical Instrumental – Non Percussion (Solo) , Light Vocal (Solo), Western Vocal (Solo), Western Instrumental (Solo), Folk Orchestra, Skit and Folk Dance competitions. Secured second position in Indian Group Song, Western Group Song, Mimicry, Poster Making, Collage Making and Rangoli events. GCET was awarded third position in Debate and Elocution competitions. Winning first prize in 9 events, second in 6 events and third in 2 events, by scoring total 77 points GCET lifted the prestigious overall championship trophy. Moreover GCET was declared as Champions in the Music and Dance categories as well. In addition to this GCET also won most of the Non AIU events. The team secured first position in Antakshari and Scene-e-Magic, Second position in Dumb Charades and Third in Treasure Hunt competitions. The hard work and channelized efforts made this possible. The team of 36 students was working with enthusiasm for last 1.5 months after the college hours. The student leaders were Nayan Kadchha, Aayush Lad, Deep Karia, Jeel Shah, Jhanvi Thakkar and Vidhi Parekh. They took lot of responsibilities for building up a good team. Alumni of the institute Jil Patel, Jenil Bhatt, Shubham Gor were a great support to the cultural team of GCET. The team was mentored by the Cultural Coordinator of the College Dr. Yogesh A. Chauhan and supported by Prof. Sneh Vyas. The successful execution would not have been possible without the continuous support and motivation from the Principal and CVM authorities.

GCET lifted First Runners up Trophy in VVNagar Zone Youth Festival - Xitij-2022 20 September 2022 15 Students of final year, 2 Mentors and 5 seniors with the support of Principal Sir created history by emerging as First Runners Up with a huge score of 66 points in the VVNagar Zonal– Xitij 2022 GTU Youth Festival, held at SVIT, Vasad during 15th to 16th September, 2022. Team GCET also lifted the Championship trophy of Theatre Category by winning first position in One Act Play and Skit events. GCET participated in 20 AIU & 2 Non AIU events and won positions in 15 AIU & both Non AIU events. GCET was awarded first position in 7 events, second position in 8 events and third position in 2 events. Due to the students' perseverance, passion, dedication, and focus throughout the marathon practice sessions and performances, a significant victory was made possible with such a tiny team. Congratulations to the entire team for this great achievement. The entire team is now qualified to represent GCET at the Inter Zonal Youth Festival of GTU to be held at SAL Institute of Technology in the month of October, 2022.

A GRANTED PATENT BY IPR GOVT. OF INDIA FOR A PERIOD OF 20 YEARS 24 July 2022 Department of Mechanical Engineering It is an immense pleasure for the institute that former graduate student of Mechanical Engineering Department, Mr. Chirag Kanagiyani has been successfully granted a patent by IPR Govt. of India for a period of 20 years. He has received this patent for his work “Hybrid Vernier - A measuring device”, which was guided by Prof. Aakarsh Jain.
