Department of Electrical Engineering has organized an industrial visit of 400 kV Substation (GETCO), Kasor for 4th year students. 58 students along with 2 faculty members visited the 400 kV substation on above mentioned date. Mr. A D Jaiswal (DE Line) guided the students through the following sections of the substation:
400 kV switchyard
220 kV switchyard
Control room
Battery room
PLCC control room
At the end of visit, students interacted with Deputy Engineer and understand the role of GETCO in transmission of electrical energy in the state. The visit was very fruitful as students discovered many practical aspects of substation which are out of the scope of their syllabus.
