Information Technology Department and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal Institute, Vallabh Vidyanagar, organized an Expert talk on “Introduction to Innovation & Start-ups”, which was coordinated Prof. Mittal Darji on 6th April, 2018 from 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM. The event was conducted by the expert Mr. Dip Modi, Project Manager at Nilmay System, Anand. Mr. Modi is also an alumni of GCET. The event was specially organized for the interested students of Second and Third year of Information Technology Department. Total 25 students attended this expert talk.

Main focus of the talk was to make students aware about the start-ups opportunities in IT filed. They were encouraged about making their ideas into reality. Students were made aware about the problems one face while going for a start-up. Mr. Modi shared his experiences and the problems he faced during his journey. He explained the importance of finance, management, HRM etc functions in the company. He displayed his own work through the portal of his company to students.

Overall, the event was very informative for students. The efforts made by the expert were clearly reflected on the faces of the students. It has been an interactive session were students found a platform to ask their queries and got answers too.
