22nd Annual Day Celebration.

       

G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology, a Charutar Vidya Mandal Institute celebrated its 22nd Annual day on 13th April, 2018 with the usual spirit of enthusiasm and zeal. All the academic achievers, and the students who have excelled in various co-curricular, cultural and sports events in the national as well as in the state level during the last academic year were felicitated with prizes and certificates of appreciation. Prof (Dr.) Navin Sheth, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Technological University, was the chief guest of the ceremonial programme. In his address, Dr. Sheth reiterates the importance and relevance of the prevailing higher education system under Indian perspective. However, he has also stressed upon the adoption of newer strategies, more research and revamping of teaching methodology in the Engineering education. He expressed his satisfaction for maintaining the high academic standard of GCET in Gujarat.

Shri. Mehul D Patel, Hon. Joint Secretary Charutar Vidya Mandal was the Guest of Honor in the programme. In his address, he has complimented the students of GCET for having showed praiseworthy performance in sports, co curricular and extracurricular activities.

Shri. Manishbhai S Patel, Vice President of Charutar Vidya Mandal in his presidential speech congratulated all the students’ achievers in various fields. He also announced that the CVM would support to all the students and faculty members for any sort of innovative projects and academic development to make GCET in the list of Top most engineering colleges of India. The programme began with the GTU anthem and prayer song presented by the cultural team of GCET. Dr. Kaushik Nath, Convener of the 22nd annual day welcomed the guests and introduced the dignitaries. Dr. Himanshu B Soni Principal, GCET, presented the annual report of the college and highlighted several salient achievements of the college during last academic year. He reported a number of achievements of the college in terms of grants and research projects, campus placements, university results and industry-institute interface. GCET ranked 23rd in the top 100 private engineering colleges of India according to the Dataquest-CMR Top T-school survey. In the last academic year campus placement figure reached 302 and in the current year it has already reached 265 till 9th April. Many office bearers and council members of CVM, professors from other institutes and many distinguished guests were present in the event.

18th issue of GCET VOICE – the annual magazine of the college was also released on the same day by the president and the chief guest. As a part of the annual day students presented excellent musical evening for two days, where they performed western and traditional dance, vocal, skits, mime shows and other entertaining programmes.
