One day training program at Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Integrated Rural Energy and Development (MGIIRED), Amrol

        Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPRERI), Vallabh Vidyanagar has organized one day Training Program on “Various Aspects of Renewable Energy Technologies” on 19th Sept 2017 at Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Integrated Rural Energy and Development(MGIIRED), Amrol Dist. Anand Gujarat. This program was sponsored by Gujarat Energy Development Agency, (GEDA) Gandhinagar. The third and fourth level of Chemical Engineering students were the participants. Total 57 students and 3 faculty members namely Prof. Dharmesh Kapatel, Prof Dipen Chauhan and Prof. Malvika Safaya from the department has participated. All the students and faculty members were warmly welcomed by Mr. Samir Vahora, Senior Programme Officer, SPRERI. There were various technical sessions by various technical personnel and Scientists from SPRERI. The First session was conducted by Er. B. Velmurugan, who has delivered lecture on Bio-Conversion Technologies. The second session was conducted by Er. Asim kumar Joshi on Solar Energy technologies. He discussed various new technologies for effective use of solar energy as renewable energy and also discussed different government schemes for solar systems. The post-lunch session was delivered by Er. B. Pradeep kumar on Thermo-chemical Conversion. He focused on new area for energy utilization and products of fuels. After expert lectures, there was a visit to various equipments and units followed by demonstration of some systems. The practical exposure was instructed by MGIIRED staff members. At the end, Dr. Gaurav Mishra Director, SPRERI has specially visited there and addressed all the new budding engineers and had a brief discussion on scope of research in their career.
