Department of Civil Engineering, GCET, Vallabh Vidyanagar had organized one day (06/03/2018 and 13/03/2018) educational visit to “Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad near Doordarshan Tower and Memnagar Circle, Ahmedabad & Also the Casting site of Decks for METRO, Ahmedabad”. A total of 30 students (Final Year) along with 4 faculty members, out of which 8 students had visited on 06/03/2018 with Prof. Poorav Shah, and 22 students visited on 13/03/2018 with Prof. Nirajkumar Mandowara, Prof. Ajaysinh Vaghela and Prof. Jalpa Patel visited the site. The main aim of visit is to observe & understand the functioning of Casting Site of the components of the METRO, Ahmedabad Project as well as the piling operations and techniques used in it in detail and how practically they are solving the day to day problem if arises.
