The CSI Student branch at G. H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), V.V. Nagar (region III) & Computer Engineering Department, GCET organized a Seminar-cum-Workshop on “Augmented and Virtual Reality”, celebrating 53rd Foundation day of CSI on 12th March, 2018.
The seminar was organized for the students of the second and third year of Computer Engineering & Information Technology Department. It was coordinated by Prof. Chhaya Zala and it was conducted by Mr. Harshit Lalpura, CTO, Hash Media with Mrs. Hardie Lalpura, CEO, Hash Media. Mr. Harshit Lalpura, CTO of Hash Media and Mrs. Hardie Lalpura, CEO of Hash Media. Hash Media is an has been creating corporate communication productions with AR, VR & Mixed Reality. Vadapalli Sai Krishna Chaitanya, Yashasvi Parikh and Vivek Nathani were the student coordinators of the seminar
The main objective of the seminar-cum-workshop was to do hands-on experience with the Unity3D application. Unity has a vast collection of supporting packages to develop Augmented and Virtual Reality projects. In the hands-on session, students got familiar with the Unity3D application and learned about various packages. During session students learned to create, import, manipulation project and deploy them on platforms like Android and iOS. More than 220 students have been participated in this seminar.
