Department of Computer Engineering organized a PROG RAMMING CONTEST under GCET Codechef chapter under the guidance of Dr. Maulika S. Patel on 22nd and 23rd of July?16. A total of 94 Students, 56pairs appeared from almost all branches for the first round, i.e the Elimination round which consisted of objective question paper with 35 questions. Duration of elimination round was 60 minutes. 30 pairs,59 students were shortlisted for the second round. The second round was an online coding round under the platform of Codechef. It consisted of 8 programs to be solved in time lim it of 150 minutes. At the appreciation ceremony, Principal, Dr. Himanshu B. Soni Felicitated the winners and the runners-up with gifts and certificates. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and the performance of the students in the event. Dr. Maulika S. Patel congratulated the qualifiers a nd the Student Coordinators and advised the students to participate in such events every semester to sharpen the programming skills in various languages.
