CharutarVidyaMandal?s G. H. Patel College of Engineering & Technology, VallabhVidyanagar celebrated Friendship Day (August 4, 2013) in a unique way. The College Women?s Development Cell organized a visit to Muni SevaAashram, Goraj. A group of girl students led by lady teachers visited the Aashram and met 100 women ? physically/mentally challenged, living at BhaginiMandir in the Aashram. The girl students tied Friendship Belts on them and distributed gifts to them. Social friendship carries a genuine concern about each other?s welfare and enjoys spending time together. The objective of the visit was to inculcate social values in the young generation. The event, under the guidance of Principal Dr. HimanshuSoni, was coordinated by Dr. KhdeejaPriyan and Prof. AshaMakhecha as well as by SumanUpadhyay, a student coordinator.
