Department of Electrical Engineering has organized an industrial visit of Dhuvaran Gasbased
Combined Cycle Power Plant (GSECL) for 2nd and 3rd Year UG, 2nd year Diploma EE
students. 38 students along with 2 faculty members visited the thermal power station on
the mentioned date. Dhuvaran CCPP has 3 units with total installed capacity of 594 MW.
Students visited Unit no. 3 which has capacity of 376 MW. Following sections were visited:
1) Electrical control room
2) Turbine-Generator Building
3) Boiler section
4) Switch yard
