Workshop on “Recent Trends on CAD Software for Chemical Engineers”

A three-day workshop on “CAD Software for Chemical Engineers” was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, GCET AICTE IDEA Lab. The workshop was primarily organized to make students familiar with CAD Software. On an inaugural day, the session was led by Brij Ramani, a student of the Chemical Department, GCET. He taught various concepts in CAD software like how to draw lines, arcs, and circles by different methods. Moreover, Prof. Endrick Contractor sir also taught them how torepresent the dimensions of any shape. On Day two, the session was divided into two phases. The first phase was conducted by Brij Ramani & Prof. Endrick D Contractor. He introduced students to various features of the CAD Software like the modified bar, mirror tool, etc. The second phase was led by Chinmay Rudragoudar, a student of the Mechanical Department, GCET. He taughtstudents about 3-D Modeling in the software. The session was quite informative and the students learned many new concepts related to software. On the final day, the session was directed by Brij Ramani. He directed the students regarding 2-D Modeling and its application. Later a practice session was organized for the students to practice the concepts that they have learned. An interactive session was organized to clear the doubts of the students. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Endrick Contractor, Faculty Coordinator, GCET AICTE IDEA Lab, Chemical Department.
