EC Department has organizedone day Workshop on Design Engineering 1A for the Second year BEstudents of EC Department on Thursday, 08 th Oct., 2015. As a part of their Design Engineering I (A) subject students need to prepare the canvases based on their observations i.e. in AEIOU framework suggested by University. Once they get ready with these AEIOU canvases they need to map the empathy of their users in human centered approach, it is known as Empathy Mapping Canvas. Once they find the correlation in their stories boarded in this canvas they get the idea of their design problem. After this students need to focus on different ideas to address the multiple problems defined in Ideation canvas. Now at the end looking at verities of Props (possible solutions) they need to focus on key problem and key solutions i.e. to be represented as product development concept in product development canvas. During this one day activity students very ready with their mindset of design engineering problem they prepared the canvas with the guidance of faculties. Major Topic of the Workshop: Design Thinking Methodologies, Empathy Mapping, AEIOU Frame work, Ideation, Product Development Canvas (PDC), LogBook , Mind Map, Report Preparation etc.
