It is a known fact that mechanical engineering is an evergreen branch of engineering and there are various fields that can be explored after under graduation. So to answer the questions and to give insight about the fields that can be explored post B.E., GCET ISTE student chapter had organized an expert talk on “What after B.E?” For 3rd year mechanical engineering students. The honourable speaker for the event was Dr. Darshak Desai, who is Professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering Department at G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology. The talk went with an audio-visual medium which could penetrate directly to the young minds. Dr. Darshak Desai presented a power point presentation, through which he elaborated about different types of industries like Small scale industries, Medium scale industries and Public sector undertakings and options for higher studies in MTech or Management. He also suggested to focus on some prestigious institutes of India and spread light about admission processes for the same. Students also had a healthy questionnaire with the speaker and got their doubts solved. Event had a total of 44 participants actively attended the expert talk with their keen interest. The cream part of this whole expert talk was to answer enumerate question during session in which many of them were guided for their future option and also get the clarification about what to do after completion of their Graduation. The session remained highly insightful. The speaker’s experience and expertise was clearly portrayed through his words and content throughout the event.
