Networking Your Way To A Successful Career was an alumni talk held on 10 th September, 2020. Event was organized by the Department of Information Technology G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology in collaboration with IEEE GCET Student Branch. The main aim of the alumni talk was to puzzle out basic knowledge of Networking, topics like Fields in Networking , Career Path , Information Regarding Different Jobs, Discussion about Various Surveys, Roadmap to Land in a Networking job were discussed.

Shrinad Trivedi works as a Consulting engineer security Solution (CCIE) - Advanced Services at Cisco systems private limited, Bengaluru. An Alumni of GCET IT, 2009 Batch. He is an experienced, dedicated, and result-focused professional, with a career history of proven expertise in networking including a thorough understanding of networking concepts and customer networks and proven experience in providing excellent operational support and project deliveries resulting in effective and efficient solutions.

In the one hour session of Networking Your Way To A Successful Career , which was conveyed by Shrinad Trivedi was based on an introduction to Networking and made us understand about the different concepts of networking. In the next topic, he discussed his journey in the field of networking from the very beginning to until now. Around 80+ students actively attended the webinar. Further he explained about different surveys and their results, he also discussed the necessary skills required for jobs nowadays. Furthermore, he explained about the various fields in networking along with their career paths, areas of interest and roles and responsibilities. He also explained about different certification exams and their importance.
