About GCET
To meet needs of industries in Gujarat and beyond,to contribute to growth of different industries through the modern Information Technology, and to provide our talented youngsters of Gujarat with engineering education of a high standard, Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) decided in 1995 to set up a private engineering college as per the norms of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and policy of the Government.So Finally in 1996, CVM started GCET with two engineering disciplines. GCET started functioning in academic year 1996-1997 by offering two four-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree programmes namely the Chemical Engineering and Information Technology. Currently institute is running with seven disciplines at the graduate level and one at post graduate level.
G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) is one of the Gujarat’s premier educational institution imparting knowledge in the the field of engineering. GCET is situated in Vallabh Vidyanagar, situated in District of Anand( Known all over the world for the famous dairy brand AMUL) in Gujarat, Western India. GCET is affiliated to SPU (Sardar Patel Uni.)and GTU (Gujarat Technological Uni.).
About GCET IEEE
GCET IEEE branch was approved by IEEE Headquarters, New- York on the 28th February, 2006. The founding branch consisted of total 29 student members and 2 executive members. The founding executive committee consisted of Dr Ketan Kotecha as Branch Counsellor, Mr Nilesh Modi as Branch Mentor and Prerit Souda as Branch Chairperson
GCET IEEE comes in Gujarat Section, Asia Pacific-Region no-10 First Branch in the Gujarat Section that will be organizing a SPAC- Student Professional Awareness Conference.
Mr.Rakesh Patel is the current Branch Counsellor of GCET IEEE Student Branch. Mr.Kavan Joshi is the current Chairperson and Mr.Rachit Sarda is Vice-Chairperson of the Branch.
About Techronicle: TECHRONICLE, is aimed at making students more and more technologically updated. The magazine has some of the best articles, videos and free software contributed by our student branch members. The first and second edition was designed by Mr. Dip Dhingani, .The student branch received special appreciation from Dr. Anurag Verma, principal which has tremendously encouraged us to release future issues of ‘TeChronicle’ and make it a regular publication of ours
