Chemical Engineering Department of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal institute, Vallabh Vidyanagar, organized Expert Talk on Opportunities for chemical engineeringin the industryunder IIcHE Student Chapter, on 13th JULY, 2016. The event was specially organized for the 3RD and 4TH year students of Chemical Engineering Department in Seminar Hall. Mr. Jay Kapadiya who is Managing Director of the Quanta Process solutions Pvt. Ltd. has delivered a talk and shared his extensive experience in the field of process engineering and Advance process solution. He has multi-disciplinary design and engineering company to provide concept to company design and engineering services to the oil and gas hydrocarbons chemical process industry.He initiated his lecture session with overview of opportunities for chemical engineering and more emphasize to know application of theoretical knowledge. The key point of discussion was role of chemical engineers in various industries like RIL, ESSAR and IOCL. Equipment, supplier and software used in industry are also part of discussion. The other points of discussion are project work, project life cycle. He end up session with briefing about his company Quanta process Pvt.ltd. Our Head of the department, Dr. Kaushik Nath and other faculty members were also present to encourage students. Most importantly,session was interactive and all students had learnt basic things. The lecture has proven to be a very impressing and informative for the students.
