The CSI Student branch at G.H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), V.V. Nagar (region III) organised a technical programming contest CODEVIE16 under the Department of Computer.The contest was open for all college students regardless of their colleges and branches. The registrations started from 8 total of 28 teams with 50 participants appeared for the something new. Students from D.Dcontest. The contest began at 11:00 AM with a speech addressed by Dr. Maulika S. Patel, Faculty Advisor. The contest was conducted in two roundonline programming round. The first round was online MCQ test of 45 minutes testing the participants basic 'C' language understanding. It was created on google forms. The second round was the programming round hosted on codechef(dotwhich lasted for 2.5 hours. At last, two teams emerged as winners and first runners up respectively. The winners were Chinmay Patel and Niraj Rajai fromSecond year studying in Computer Department. The first runners up were Shrey Shah and Jemish Pagin Computer Department.
