1st Alumni Meet "REUNION-2015" Organized by GCET Alumni Association.

        GCET Alumni Association of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology, organized its 1stGrand Alumni Meet "REUNION -2015" on 28thDecember, 2015. The inaugural function was held at GCET auditorium. Shri. V M Patel, Hon. Jt. Secretary of CVM presided over the function. Prof. J C Panchal, Former Officiating principal, was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. L F Rabari (Former Head of Chemical Engg.) and Dr. R P Arora (Former Head of Mechanical Engg.) were the Guest of honour. The function began with a prayer offered by Dr. Y A Chauhan and students. Dignitaries on the dais were introduced and welcomed. The inauguration program began with lighting of lamp and with blessings of Dr. C L Patel, Honourable Chairman of CVM.Dr. Himanshu Soni, Principal, mentioned about developments that took place in GCET over a period of time. He has focused on students' performance in curricular and co-curricular and campus process. He mentioned about all the PG courses offered in different branches and how infrastructure facilities are enhanced. He has mentioned that sound infrastructure supported by qualified faculties, state -of-the-art laboratories are the main asset of the institute. Prof. Vivek Deshpande, Coordinator of Reunion-2015, mentioned about general objectives of GAA and through light on its activities at college level. Total 139 alumni from all the branches attended this meet and express their desire to help the present students. Prof. J C Panchal could not attend due to some unavoidable circumstances. But his blessings were always with us. Dr. L F Rabari and Dr. R P Arora shared their views on the development of this institute since 1996 and discussed how it evolved as the best institute in Gujarat. They mentioned that it?s the time our alumni should do something for their alma mater in terms of Training needs or recruitment process. Shri. V M Patel, president of the function, expressed happiness over the proceedings and mentioned how an alumnus should contribute and give -it-back to institute through different ways.Mrs. Aarti Vaishnav, Distinguished alumni presentative, felt very happy to be the part of the proceedings. She motivated all the alumni to take oath to spend their time with alma mater for their development. Alumni from 2000 to 2007, were felicitated on stage. Later the GAA magazine 'Aspire' was released by the dignitaries on the dais. Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Chintan Patel. The whole event was compeered by student?s team.
