Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in association with ISTE Student Branch of G H Patel College of Engg & Technology, Vallabh Vidyanagar has organized a two-day workshop on “Electronic System Design & EDA tools” on 8th – 9th August 2022.
A three-day workshop on “CAD Software for Chemical Engineers” was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, GCET AICTE IDEA Lab. The workshop was primarily organized to make students familiar with CAD Software. On an inaugural day, the session was led by Prof. Mihir Solanki, Assistant Professor, GCET. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and has a strong hold on CAD software. He started his session with the very basic idea of CAD software and its application. He taught various concepts in CAD software like how to draw lines, arcs, and circles by different methods. Moreover, sir also taught them how to represent the dimensions of any shape.

Computer Society of IEEE GCET Student Branch in collaboration with AICTE IDEA LAB GCET organized a “Workshop on ‘Practical Approach to Computer Network Administration’ at GCET, Vallabh Vidyanagar on 30th July, 2022. Dr. Priyang Bhatt, Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at GCET, conducted the workshop. Around thirty students participated in the workshop.
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in association with ISTE Student Branch and GCET Alumni Association is going to organize the expert sessions cum Alumni Talk titled A Gateway to e-Infochips on 23rd July 2022, Saturday between 2 – 4 PM at Smt K S Patel GCET Auditorium - Seminar Hall GCET. All the third year EC and final year EC students are informed to attend and take the maximum benefit of the event.

AICTE IDEA Lab has organized KAUSHALYAM-2 to motivate
students of 3rd year of mechanical branch of college to learn about 3D printers and CO2
laser cutter and engraver by introducing them to LUBAN SNAPMAKER & Z-SUIT
The goal was to make the students familiar with software and the machine
so that they can make different design from it and also to give them Hand-on
The students learnt about the basics of both the software and learn
how 3D printer and C02 laser cutter machines works.
The IPR cell of GCET has organized a Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Start-up on 19th July, 2022 for third and final year students. The objective of the workshop is to provide an awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and Step by Step Procedure for Filing & Processing of Patent Application in Indian and International Patent Offices. Also, students will get acquainted on IP Management for Start-up. The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Dharti Shah, IPR Attorney, Verite Associates, Ahmedabad.
It is a known fact that mechanical engineering is an evergreen branch of engineering and there are various fields that can be explored after under graduation. So to answer the questions and to give insight about the fields that can be explored post B.E., GCET ISTE student chapter has organized
an expert talk on “What after B.E?” For 3rd year mechanical engineering students.
