The department has arranged one day workshop on "Awareness about switch gear for industrial applications" for final year UG students, PG students and faculty members of department. The workshop was organized with the cooperation of "Schneider Electric India Ltd.". The workshop was arranged due to the efforts of Mr. Ariz Anklesaria, MD, Anik Engineers, Ahmedabad. Following experts from the Schneider Electric Ltd. visited the institute. 1) Mr. Bhavin Patel (Manager Sales, Power Business) 2) Mr. Mannan Shah (Manager Sales, Power Business) 3) Mr. Mayank Pagaria (Manager, Industries) 4) Mr. Jigar Barot ( Executive, Power Sales) The workshop included two very interesting and informative presentations on MV switch gear, variable frequency drive and basics of PLC followed by technical discussion and hands on demonstration of various devices with the help of kits of Schneider Electric Ltd. The presentation, technical interaction and demonstration of various switch gear devices enhanced the knowledge of attendees. The workshop was very fruitful as it improved our knowledge of MV switch gear, PLC and VFD.
