According to Indian traditions, the day started by lighting of lamp and prayer for the betterment of humankind, illustrating the tagline of IEEE i.e. 'Advancing Technology for Humanity'. After remembering the almighty, our GCET Principal Dr. Himanshu Soni Sir inspired the students and gave a speech regarding the college and about the importance of engineers in today's world, followed by a speech from GCET IEEE SB Chairperson Mr Nishant Bhalani who gave the inauguration speech followed by a video, marking the commencement of STAC '14. Our guests Mr N.K.Goyal and D.R JJ Rawal also were a part of inauguration ceremony.
