Women’s Day celebration on the theme “SHE-Epicenter of Energy”

        The International Women’s Day on 10th March, 2022 was celebrated in hybrid mode by Women Development Cell, GCET. The theme for this year’s celebration - “SHE-Epicenter of Energy”. The venue for the event was Smt. Kamlaben Shankarbhai Patel-GCET Auditorium and the event was timed for the latter half of the day between 1:15 pm to 4:30 pm. The celebration began with the light lamping ceremony performed by our Chief Guest, Ms. Geeta Solanki, Social Entrepreneur & Founder, Unipads, India along with our honorable Principal, Dr. Himanshu B. Soni and faculties- Dr. Khadeeja Priyan, Dr. Maulika Patel, Dr. Krupal Parikh and Dr. Geetali Saha. Ms. Geeta Solanki, addressed the audience and shared her journey about the challenges she faced in the domain of Menstrual Hygiene and Child Birth. She shared how she overcame them and in doing so, she took up multiple roles- that of an Entrepreneur, a Business woman, a job provider and most importantly, a healthy alternative to artificial women hygiene products. Her talk was aptly named - “Women in business- Idea to Reality”. This was followed by students’ performance by specially-able kids from Andh Apangjan Shala, Mogri, guided by their coordinator Ms. Pragna Parikh. They demonstrated their expertise in singing, instrumentation, speech delivery and poetry recital. Ms. Pragna Parikh and all the kids were felicitated by the lady teaching faculties of the Institute. An online webinar - “Cultivate the brand- YOU” by Ms. Yogita Bansal Ahuja, Founder – Director, Storycircle Edusaarthi, India addressed importance of core values in individuals via story-telling, visualization and understanding.
