The Department of Chemical Engineering, GCET organised an industrial visit to EnviroInfrastructure Co. Ltd. Vadodara on 13/09/21. The students of second year which included 53 students along with two faculty members Prof. Enrick Contractor and Mr. Dharmendra Patel took the advantage of this visit. The students viewed the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about Water treatment and purification to control pollution. Mr. Nihar Mehta (CEO) and Ms. Aakansha Gor initially briefed the students about the history and the projects undertaken by the plant. They also briefed about the plant capacity. They emphasised that the plant has a capacity of 4.5 MLD. For the easy management of the students, two groups were formed. Both the groups were made to understand the various processes for the purification of the waste water. Later on, the students visited the laboratory where the samples were analysed. The visit ended with a group photo.
