Information Technology Department of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal institute, Vallabh Vidyanagar, organized a web development competition “WebVenture” , which was conducted by Dr. Nikhil Gondaliya Professor & Head and Prof. Deven A. Gol , Assistant Professor, IT department at GCET from 18th-26th May, 2020 under TechknowTalk Club. This competition was specially organized for the students of IT and CP department. There were 84 participants in Round-1 out of which 52 were selected for Round-2.

In Round-1, useful tutorials regarding web development were shared. The tutorials included video and text tutorials for HTML, CSS and BootStrap. At the end of Round-1, a quiz was organized to shortlist the participants for Round-2. Round-2 was an exciting web development competition. The participants were given a task to make a website on a given theme and host it on GitHub. The theme for the website was “ Covid19 Awareness and Prevention ” or “ Portfolio ” Website. 32 out of the 52 participants successfully made and hosted their website.
