Information Technology Department of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal institute, Vallabh Vidyanagar, organized an expert talk on “AWS and its Services ”, which was conducted by Prof. Jay Vala, Assistant Professor, IT department on 3rd March, 2020 from 4:30 to 5:30 at F-401 under GCET CSI Student Branch . This expert talk was specially organized for the first year students of IT and CP department. Total 55 students participated in it.

The aim of this seminar was to introduce the students to Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. Speaker started with an introduction of cloud computing, its features and uses. He then discussed the history of AWS and its applications. Students asked various questions regarding the session and showed great interest in the field.
