Industrial visit to Enviro Infrastructure Company Limited (EICL), Umaraya

        The Chemical Engineering Department, GCET, V.V.Nagar has organised an industrial visit to Enviro Infrastructure Company Limited (EICL), Umaraya, Vadodara on 16th September 2019. Around 59 students of second year Chemical Engineering along with two faculty member, Dr. Haresh K Dave and Dr. Suresh Panchani and lab assistant Mr. Dharmendra Patel have attended the visit. Mr A R Joshi, Manager and his team has initially brief about the company and its work. EICL is Industrial Common Effluent Treatment Plant committed to maintain ecological balance located in Village Umraya, Ta Padra, Vadodara. It is a company promoted by Cluster of Member Industries for setting up of Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) of capacity 4500 KLD for conveyance, Collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater generated from member industries. Majority members are of Chemicals, Pharma, Dye and Dye intermediates units, Glass industries, Food industries, Oil & Metal based industries, located at Padra/Jambusar/Savli and in or around vadodara district. The students were divided into three groups and visited the entire common effluent treatment plant. During the visit of plant they explained the working of plant to students. Students have also raised several questions during the visit. This industrial visit seemed to be very much helpful for students as it helped them update their theoretical knowledge with practical one. We are very much thankful to EICL, our management (CVM) and department for organising this wonderful industrial visit.
