A motivational lecture on “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH EDUCATION” was arranged by Dr. Krupal Parikh, Coordinator Women Development Cell (WDC), G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) on 20th August, 2019 between 10:30am to 12:00 noon in Seminar Hall for all girl students and faculty of GCET.
Chikhodra Girl’s school is a government school, which is working nicely for the better education of girls. The school received National Award for cleanliness. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Chhaya Upadhyay who is a teacher in Chikhodra Girls School. The lecture was organized with the objective to motivate girl students and faculty through her words of wisdom.
Ms. Archie (Students’ coordinator from IT department) delivered the welcome note. The speaker of the program, Ms. Chhaya Upadhyay explained the way the school is managed. The school is considered as a parliament and students are nominated for various ministry. She shared her experience as a teacher with the village girls students. The teaching learning methods they follow to groom village girl to educate them in all sense is really a matter of appreciation. The motivation for the students is created in true sense out of her talk. A total of 130 attendees are there in the program including girls students and faculty of GCET.
