Geographic information system (GIS) technology provides the tools for creating, managing, analyzing, and visualizing the data associated with developing and managing infrastructures. Recent advances in satellite based remote sensing and GIS technology have great applications in various fields of Civil Engineering such as regional planning & site investigation, terrain mapping and analysis, water resources engineering, town planning & urban development, transportation network studies etc. GIS software training is an essential requirement for applying to some of the organizations.
