ENIGMA

Enigma stands for something puzzled, something very complex to solve. For us Engima is a congregation of students across the four colleges, who come together to explore hitherto unexplored realms in Engineering Events. It is tech fiesta, bringing together students from various colleges, so they interact with each other and share and increase their knowledge. It aims to host some new events and some traditional techfest favourites with a new twist.

The primary objective of the event is to inculcate technical dexterity and put to test the technical prowess of the engineers in the making in different engineering domains.

ENIGMA '11

Enigma’11 is technical fiesta comprising of about 6 technical events and a workshop covering IT-CP engineering branch & 4 non-technical events for all branches of engineering.

Keeping in view the symbiotic relation between engineering and management, Enigma also aims at developing soft skills and management coordination.

GCET

To meet the needs of industries in Gujarat and beyond, to contribute to the growth of industries through modern Information Technology, and to provide talented youngsters of Gujarat with engineering education of a high standard, Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) decided in 1995 to set up a private engineering college as per the norms of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the policy of the State Government. Finally in 1996, CVM started GCET with two engineering disciplines. GCET started functioning in academic year 1996-1997 by offering two four-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree programmes namely Chemical Engineering and Information Technology. Currently institute is running with seven disciplines at graduate level and one at post graduate level.

Our guiding principle is constant change, motivation and upgradation, creating state-of-the-art knowledge infrastructure for our students, instilling in them the ability to learn so that they can face any challenge anywhere in the world. - Hon. Dr. C. L. Patel (CHAIRMAN, CVM)

GCET ISTE Student Chapter

GCET ISTE STUDENT CHAPTER was established on 25th November, 2003 in the presence of Prof. A.J.Shah (Chairman, ISTE Chapter, Gujarat section) and Dr. C. L. Patel (Chairman, CVM). Chapter started with 334 student memberships and continued till date with 1100+ Students' members . The purpose of this site is to inform its members with all the details of GCET ISTE Students' chapter.Every year ISTE Student chapter conducts various events such as expert lectures, workshops, seminars, Industrial visits, Technical Events, etc. to assist students for updating their technical knowledge. Under the banner of ‘PRARAMBH’ last year 26 teams had participated in various events at DDIT, CIT-CHANGA, NIRMA, IIT-BOMBAY, IIT- Chennai, SVNIT etc. and many of them could secure top 3 positions. Around 100 students took help of ‘PRARAMBH’ and participated in various technical events like ROBORACE, GLIDERS, SOLAR ROBOTICS, ROBOWARS, PROJECT PRESENTATIONS, PAPER PRESENTATIONS, etc .at various colleges like CIT –Changa, DDIT , MSU , IIT BOMBAY , IIT-CHENNAI ,NIRMA, SVNIT & MANY OTHER. To help students participating in various events, club is conducting technical workshops regularly.
