Department of Electrical engineering has organized a one day seminar on Modelling and Analysis of Induction motor drive with recent control technique by Dr.Amit Sant(Post doctoral fellowship Masdar University, UAE)for the third year electrical and 1 st year PG student on Friday, 4th March, 2016. More than 60 student?s attendant the seminar.First session start with interaction of Dr.Amit Sant with our faculty members. He encourage our faculty members for the collaborative research, various funding agency, and he emphasis to create research environment in department.He discuss about the fundamental of electrical drives and its important aspect for controlling various industrial load. He also presented mathematical modeling of induction motor with the help of various transformation techniques such as abc to ?? and ?? to d -q transformation. He also discuss about the voltage/frequency control technique, scalar control, vector control with lucid explanation. Dr.Amit Sant has also discussed emerging research area in the vector control which can useful for PG student?s dissertation. In second session he explains recent control technique used in grid connected solar inverter like constant voltage control and ADALINE based control techniques.In third session PG student simulated the control techniques with PLL, second order generalized integrator as a alternative of PLL with the Matlab Simulink.All the sessions were highly interactive and relevant to the curriculum and for the dissertation phase.
