VVNagar Zonal Youth Festival 2017 was held at SIGMA Institute of Engineering, Ajwa from 5th October 2017 to 7th October 2017 . GCET took part in all the events with a team of 45 students. After working hard for several days and hours, team GCET secured First position in Classical Instrumental Non-Percussion Solo, Folk Orchestra, Western Instrumental Solo, Quiz, Debate, Elocution, Skit, Mime, On the Spot Painting, Poster Making, Collage Making and Ad Making. Second position was attained in Light Vocal Solo, Indian Group song and Classical Dance Solo. In Classical Vocal Solo, Western Group song, One Act Play, Mimicry, Rangoli, Cartooning and Folk Dance, Team GCET stood third. For its excellent performance, GCET secured highest points and were declared overall winners of the Xitij Youth Festival 2017. Apart from the individual trophies GCET secured overall championship trophies in the categories of Music, Literary events, Theatres and Fine arts. Students were enthused with positive spirit and mentors were proud and happy as the hard work paid off. The team was led by Juhi Gupta, Meet Vora, Kush Patel and Viraj Mistry for the youth festival events. Dr. Yogesh Chauhan, Prof. Sneh Vyas and Prof. Geetali Saha mentored the students.
