Technical Visit of Civil Engineering Students to Amul

        Civil Engineering Department of G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal institute, VallabhVidyanagar, organized a technical visit on 26th August, 2014 to AMUL, the largest milk cooperative in the world. As many as 62 Civil Engineering students and the faculty members were present. The main aim of the visit was to understand the planning, components and special features of an industrial building. The visit was really an enlightening for our students and faculty members by knowing the history of AMUL and its journey to set an example in the milk cooperative movement in the world. The Civil Engineering students have got an opportunity to see and understand various components and features of a functional industrial unit. Students could see and understand the layout of different rooms in the manufacturing units and laboratories, many silos, chimneys etc. Students and faculty members of Civil Engineering Department, G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology Vallabh Vidyanagar express their sincere gratitude to AMUL for giving an opportunity for this visit. They all were appreciating the effort of the public relations (PR) group of AMUL to make the visit very interesting and effective.
