The inaugural event of TechKnowTalk Club of Information Technology Department was organized on 17th February 2018. It was clubbed with a guest lecture on the topic “Campus to Corporate” by Mr. Nirav Vora. Dr. Himanshu Soni, Principal, GCET presided over the function and in his presidential speech, he praised the club as a type of association that plays a vital role in shaping the students, enriching the knowledge which will in turn fetch a job in reputed organization and that the association should have a calendar full of events like workshop, group discussion, debate, guest lecture and symposium in such a way that the students get maximum benefits.
The expert talk was also graced by our respected HOD sir - Dr. Nikhil Gondaliya, Teaching Staff, Nonteaching Staff, Dept of IT, G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology. He is also Coordinator of TechKnowTalk Club.
The chief guest Mr. Nirav Vora, Head Marketing and Business Development Manager for Gujarat region at Vedanta Limited(Goa), elivered the inaugural address of TechKnowTalk.
He initiated his talk with the history oftechnology and computers in India and the world. He spoke about the importance of proper communication and speaking abilities in today’s industry. Furthermore, he discussed about learning to speak fluent English, especially for the Gujarati medium students. He discoursed at a great length about the technical and business genius of the Reliance rainchild, Jio. He covered the major recent developments in the industry, including NLP and Blockchain. He also expounded the benefits of studying about the current affairs and news regarding Information Technology and related fields.
