Chemical Engineering Department of G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology (GCET), a Charutar Vidya Mandal institute, Vallabh Vidyanagar, organized a One day Workshop on MATLAB Applications in Chemical Engineering on 19th September. The main objectives of the Workshop was to develop knowledge and understanding about how MATLAB is used in Chemical Engineering and to acquaint students with the Simulink. The Workshop started with an Inaugural ceremony. Prof Krunal Amin introduced the objectives and schedule for the workshop. The Principal, Dr Himanshu Soni informed students about their importance in Software or IT companies. The Head of Department Dr. Kaushik Nath motivated students about the computational need in the chemical industry. Lastly, the chief Guest of the function Prof. Vasdev Singh overviewed that how MATLAB is applicable in chemical engineering and it?s diverse range of applications. A record breaking number of students registered for the course. The total number of registration was 116 (including 13 faculties of chemical engineering department)
