An Industrial Visit was organized for third year Mechatronics Students to Pioneer Furnaces Pvt. Ltd., at G.I.D.C., V.U.Nagar. The Company was founded in the year 1972 as a Partnership firm for the manufacture of induction melting and holding furnaces and electric heat treatment furnaces for the metals industry. Their manufacturing facilities are spread over an area of 7500 sq.mtrs and it has three manufacturing shops, each workshop is equipped with EOT Cranes and other matierial handling facilities. Other manufacturing facilities include machinery for fabrication, Argon and CO2 welding, press brake for sheet metal work and other machine tools, coil winding machines, oven for annealing of induction coils and baking, stand-by DG set as well as a complete set of instruments and test bench for testing of controls, transformers, reactors etc. They are adopting and supplying new technologies for providing statrt of the art solutions to their customers. Pioneer also has acquired ISO 9001 - 2008 certification to meet with the quality expectations. Prof. Ishaq Sheikh accompanied the students.
