Vidyanagar, Organized Expert Lecture delivered by Prof. Geetali Saha and event
coordinated by Prof. Deepak Parashar under GCET ISTE Student Chapter on ?Role of
Technology in Disaster Management? for the under graduate third year Mechanical
Engineering Students on Friday, 12th August. 2016. By the event students are benefited and
understand the real scenario of role of GIS and Remote sensing technology in disaster
management.
Event also helpful to the students to enhance their technical knowledge to be utilize in
disaster management and they understand the actual role of structural engineering and
technology in disaster management to reduce and how to handle the actual situation when
disaster happened in terms of preparedness, mitigation, responses, recovery and
reconstruction.
