GCET CSI Student Branch organized a seminar on TIPS AND TRICKS FOR COMPETITIVE CODING on the 8th of August. The speakers at the two hour seminar were Taher K.D., Dehit Garaga and Rohan Gurve of Computer branch, 3rd year. The session started at 3:30 p.m. and ended at 5:30 p.m. The topics covered in this seminar were Introduction to competitive programming, algorithms and its analysis, and useful hacks in C++ The students were also given tips for program optimisation, solutions for common errors and useful codes for common programming problems
A session was dedicate to explain Standard Template Library (STL) in C++ and its applications. The session was very interesting and informative. Students, all from Computer and IT branches, showed great enthusiasm during the seminar and were responsive to all the questions. Based on a collective feedback the seminar was found fruitful by many and had fulfilled their expectations . This event attracted a total of 150 participations. The event was a knowledge imparting experience for all.
