Department of Information Technology had organized an event on Innovative Ideas for Entrepreneurship in IT for 3rdyear students. 22 students had participated in event on above mentioned date. Main aim of this event was to make students aware about how they can start business based on an idea in the field of Information Technology. For this students had to form a group. Each group was allowed to present one idea. Each idea need to satisfy three criteria: Idea shall not be in existence, idea must be feasible in terms of implementation and application and idea must generate revenue. Keeping all mentioned criteria, students had justified their ideas, which were novel. They also explained logically that feasibility of implementation. They also explained source of revenue. Event was graced by presence of Prof. Nikhil Gondaliya. He motivated students to participate in events which provides them opportunity for practical application of their learning. He congratulated students for good work. Event was judged by Prof. Nirav Raja & Prof. PremBalani. They opined that ideas are innovative as well as target audience is specifically defined. It was hard for them to choose winners from such varying ideas. They declared idea of Bus Live Status as winner, which was presented by Ghanshyam Desai and Divyajeetsinh Chauhan. Idea of Musical Map presented by KrutThanawala, Trushil Lad and YashGolwal was declared as runner up. At the end of the event, judges asked students for their opinions about event. Students opined that for finding idea, they had to search on internet, through which they acquired much knowledge. Apart from that they also came to know about recent trends in industry of information technology. This event gave them exposure about unknown field of IT. This will also help them to choose their projects in final year.
