Department of information technology has organized workshop on Data Analysis using R Tool for 3rd Year IT students during 31/1/17 to 1/2/17 at A321 . Prof. Dharmesh Raykundaliya, Assistant professor of PG department of statistics, SPU, Vidyanagar delivered an expert talk in both the sessions for focused topics like Application of R Tool, Regression testing, Pairs test, T testing etc..Motive of workshop was, to aware the students about real application of data analysis usingR tool. It is required to get knowledge about R tool for carrierperspective as specializedrequirements are available in market for employment. Also, for academic point of view,Research based project on data analysis requires to have knowledge of at least one statistical tool. Students have also got good material for future work. 32 students have participated for workshop and at the end of talk they took good amount of knowledge which gives them insight and importance of R Tool and associated Application.
