The Department of Chemical Engineering, G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology Vallabh Vidyangar organized National Science Day Celebration-2020 on the theme Women in Science during 28 February 2020. The one day programme was inaugurated by Dr. S G Patel, Honorary Secretary, Charutar Vidya Mandal, V V Nagar and Dr.Bhawana Pathak, Associate Professor & Dean, School of Environment & Sustainable Development, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar and Guest of Honor Dr. Neelam Balani, Director, Rotomag Motors & Controls Pvt. Ltd, Vitthal Udhyognagar, Anand. The National Science day was aimed to create awareness of science & technology for sustainable development. It covered a rich variety of subjects, technologies and practices, thereby giving a comprehensive overview on the subject. The event featured a mix of eminent speakers from Central University of Gujarat Dr. Bhawana Pathak emphasized on sustainable development and environment degradation related issue. She congratulated the participants and the organizers. Dr. Neelam Balani has talked on event theme and congratulated the participants and organizer for gracing the event. Dr. Himanshu Soni Principal GCET, Dr. Kaushik Nath, Head of Chemical Engineering and the Organizing Coordinators Mr.Vinay B Patel and also IIChe Chapter GCET Students’ Coordinator Mr. Urvish Makwana were also present. There were more than 82 student participants form department of chemical engineering of GCET. Other technical events like Skit presentation, group discussion, chemcharades and photography competition was successfully organized. The event was highly recognized all over College and beyond and the organizing team received very good feedback from the participants.
