Department of Electrical Engineering has organized an industrial visit of 400 kV Substation students along with 2 faculty members visited the Mr. Jigar Pandya (DE Mr. M D Shah (DE transmission line)., students observed the layout of the switchyard and understood the functions of components like wave trap, lightning arrestor, CT, PT, circuit bar arrangement, etc. nes of 400 kV into substation. The 400 kV switchyard has three bus third one is transfer bus. All the three buses are of tubular type. In all four incoming lines the shunt reactorsof 50 MVAR and 125 MVAR are connected peak duration. The station has two ICT (Interconnecting Transformers) of 315 MVA capacity each. There are 8 outgoing lines of 220 kV level which supply power to various 220 kV -bars same as 400 kV Conductors per phase.
