GUJCOST Sponsored Two Day Workshop on Internet of Things and Its Applications

       

Today, Internet application development demand is very high. So IoT is a major technology by which we can produce various useful internet applications. Basically, IoT is a network in which all physical objects are connected to the internet through network devices or routers and exchange data. IT department, GCET organized a two day workshop on IoT and its applications. Around 25 students from the different colleges had participated in the event.

About Speakers: Mr. Pravin Pradhan has experience of more than 5 years in PLM and IIOT value chain as Developer and Functional Consultant. He is Assistants Tech Consultant at KPIT Technologies LTD, Pune. He is driven by an urge to take up challenging problems, analyze them and their various facts and subsequently developing innovative and efficient solution over the years. Mr. Pravin holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Telecommunication and C-DAC Post graduation Diploma. Mr. Nikhil Daslaniya is a focused IT professional having 7 years of experience in the software organization. He is Sr. Technical Consultant at KPIT technologies LTD, Pune. Mr. Nikhil has good knowledge and understanding of PLM-IOT, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Designing PCB’s and Robotics.

Students got a great opportunity to attend the workshop held at G H Patel College of Engineering and Technology on 6th and 7th July, 2019 organized by IT Department, GCET. The workshop started with an introductory session on Introduction to IoT & IoT kit which was the session 1 of our course. Session 2 was based on Introduction to Embedded Systems & Sensing Devices. Session 3 of day 1 was on Communication system and Cloud. Day 2 began with hands on session on Communication Systems and Cloud. And during the latter part of the day, there was a hands on session on Minor projects applications in IoT. The primary goal of the workshop was to highlight the basics of IoT, its applications and its future uses. Students got their questions answered by the expert present in the session and they also gained the knowledge of Thingsworx.
