The CSI Student branch at G. H. Patel College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), V.V. Nagar (region III) organized a competition on DBMS “Cyber QL” on 28th September 2018.
The contest was organized for the students of the second and third year of Computer Engineering & Information Technology Department. The first round of the contest was an online competition on DBMS which was conducted on ‘hackerrank.com’. The second round consisted of exploiting the windows in order to find the link to the HackerRank which contained the questions they were supposed to solve. Abhishek Limbad and Jeel Jotaniya were the student coordinators of the contest.
After completion of the first round, Prof. Sneh Vyas delivered a talk on “How to Exploit the Windows?” and also showed a live demonstration of the same using a virtual machine. During this talk, students learned a great deal about the threat faced by today’s world to our laptops as well as mobile phones and how one can be cautious about the same. It was in all a competition which benefited and created awareness about the cybercrime for the participants.
