On the 31st of Feb, we had an industrial visit at Unique Forging (India) PVT. LTD.
V. U Nagar, which is basically into the works of forging and manufacturing
different types of components which were used for variety of sectors like
automobile, railways etc. We reached the industry at around 10:50 a.m. and
after a quick introduction of the faculties and the students, we were given the
safety equipment before going inside the plant. The plant is divided into
different sections depending on the type of the work or the process being
conducted there. We were then guided by industry persons of the particular
manufacturing units. There were various types of processes going on
simultaneously and we were instructed about each process and it’s working.
We also talked to some of the workers about the process they were doing and
the part they took in the process. After that we gathered for a group photo
with the associates of the company and around 12:30 p.m. we left the industry
and came back to the college. Overall, the industrial visit was worth productive
and quite interesting as well for all the students as it helped us in
understanding the processes
