Accredited Programs: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi w.e.f. March 15th 2012

.: Department of Mechatronics (Post Graduate Programme) :.

Mechatronics is a rapidly developing interdisciplinary field of engineering. It deals with the synergic integration of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer technology and control engineering in the development of electromechanical products, through a unified design approach. It is the need of present era where manufacture of final products requires interdisciplinary knowledge. In the present age of automation mechanical structure cannot be separated from electronics or electrical connections and control. Hence, the scope and potential of Mechatronics branch is virtually unlimited and incomparable.

G H Patel College of Engineering & Technology is going to start a Master Degree course in the specialization of Mechatronics Engineering from the academic year 2012-13. The first batch will have an intake of 18 students. The aim of starting the programme is to impart broad and multidisciplinary engineering concept, as any conventional undergraduate curriculum in engineering does not provide it. It will be a good platform for all those who want to pursue the career in the fields of automation, robotics, control, etc.

This course can be offered to the following UG branches:
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Production Engineering
  • Automobile Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics and Electrical Engineering
