Description :
The Automation and Control laboratory at GCET is having its major facilities are related to the automation, control and microprocessor. The laboratory is well equipped with the PLCs like Siemens, Allen Bradely and VPL infotech make. The laboratory is also equipped with different microprocessor trainer kit like 8085, 8051 and PIC microcontrollers.

High Voltage Lab

Description :
The High Voltage Laboratory at GCET was designed and constructed in the 2003-04. Its major facilities are related to the generation and measurements of high voltage AC, DC and Impulses. The laboratory has high voltage DC source (70,000 volts), high voltage AC source (50,000 Vrms), a 1,50,000 volt impulse generator, insulator tester (30,000 volt), oil testing kit (60,000 volts).

Machine Lab

Description :
In our Electrical Machine Lab We have Different Electrical A.C. & D.C. machines like single phase and three phase transformers , single-phase induction motor, various fractional horse-power motors, 3-phase Induction motor, Synchronous Motors and Alternators, D.C.Generator , D.C. Motors , with different ratings. We have newly developed Electrical panels for conducting various experiments and testing of above machines.

Power Electronics Lab

Description :
Power Electronics Laboratory is dealing with the Electronics applications to the Electrical engineering. The Laboratory contains the Various Trainer Kits and Electric drives. The Trainer Kits include the MOSFET Characteristics, DIAC Characteristics, TRAIC Characteristics, SCR Characteristics, IGBT characteristics, Single phase bridge rectifier with different loading condition, various commutation circuits and different firing circuits.

Description :
Power system laboratory is fully equipped with state of art equipments in the field of power system engineering for the students to perform experiments. The software’s with respect to power system laboratory to do work in power system area are power world simulator, Mi power etc. Power system laboratory is well managed and equipped to do experiments and research work.

Switchgear & Protection Lab

Description :
The Switchgear & Protection Laboratory at GCET was designed and constructed in 2004-05. Its major facilities are related to the protection of power system network (transmission and distribution) and their equipments (generator, transformer, induction motor, etc.). The laboratory contains various types of Electromechanical, Static and Numerical/Digital Relays mounted on panels for analyzing the protection of power systems.
